Inspired by the character John Uskglass, The Raven King, in Susanna Clarke's wonderful novel "Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell". This is not an attempt to faithfully reproduce the character as described in the book (actually he is only vaguely described anyway), it's more of an interpretation of the mystery and magic that surrounds the character.
All painted in Corel Painter with one brush (a custom round tip oil brush) and one blender (a customisation of the Just Add Water brush). No cloning or duplication techniques.
The orginal image is 4960 x 3510 pixels and so is suitable for high resolution printing. Prints of this image are availale at sizes up to A2, printed professionally on archival quality paper for maximum quality and longevity.
