Restormel Castle Moat

Restormel Castle is secluded in the middle of some beautiful countryside overlooking the River Fowey in Cornwall. Dating to about 1100 most of the external walls are still intact although the castle took substantial damage during the English Civil War. The site is now managed by English Heritage.
